Privacy and local processing

Signing a PDF without installing software

Because the tool runs client-side, it behaves the same on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS - anywhere you have a current browser. On a touchscreen you can draw the signature with a finger or stylus instead of a mouse.
The PDF signature this produces is an image of your handwriting placed on the page, so the signed file opens normally in any PDF reader and needs no plugin or app at the other end. You can add a signature to a contract, a form, or a scanned page the same way, and the page you signed keeps its original layout.
Visual signature vs digital signature
A visual signature is an image of your handwriting placed on the page. That is what most everyday paperwork needs - internal forms, delivery notes, club and school documents, or a contract a counterparty simply wants to see signed.
A digital signature is a different thing: it embeds a cryptographic certificate that identifies the signer and detects later edits to the file. NexKit Sign PDF does not create one. If your document has to be verifiable in that sense, use a qualified e-signature provider instead.
